Can I use my own motorcycle for tuition?
Yes you can. You must inform your insurance so that you have the appropriate endorsement to learn.
How do you communicate during a lesson?
We use the latest Bluetooth ‘bike to bike’ intercoms. You should bring an ordinary in ear set of headphones with a 3.5mm plug for your lessons.
How long does it take to get a motorcycle licence?
It takes approximately up to 2 weeks to receive the learners permit. From the time we apply for your practical test it may take up to 4 weeks till your test date. All timing is approximate. A practical test can only be applied for if you have your theory test passed.
How much does it cost to get a Motorcycle Licence ?
The total cost of obtaining your driving licence depends on each individual. The number of lessons you need varies as people have different needs. previous experience on a bike or even in a car for example will help you along. Discounts available for block bookings!
I have a licence from another country, can I use it in Malta?
If you are resident in Malta you should first exchange your foreign licence for a Maltese one, only then can we apply for a learners permit. After you pass your motorcycle test, Transport Malta will then add the new category to that licence.
I already know how to drive, can I go straight on the road?
For safety reasons it is obligatory for any new pupil to undergo car park training prior to hitting the road. Once we are satisfied that you can handle the motorcycle safely we will start road lessons.
How long is the lesson?
Lessons start from 30mins duration although a normal riding lesson is usually approximately 60mins long
What clothing should I wear during the lesson?
Whether you are a learner or experienced rider you should always wear proper motorcycle clothing. We know that this can be expensive, however these items you will use after you completed your licence for your newly acquired motorcycle.
We advise you to wear:
a) An approved Motorcycle Helmet
b) Motorcycle trousers or at least a long trouser made of tough fabric
c) A motorcycle jacket
d) Sturdy footwear with ankle protection
e) Motorcycle Gloves
Please note that all of the above are only suggestion in the interest of your own safety. There is as of now no legal requirement to wear any Riders gear, except the helmet.
However, we do not conduct any lessons with pupils wearing unapproved Helmets, T-Shirts, Shorts and/or unsuitable footwear such as Sandals.
What do I need to bring to a lesson?
Suitable clothing for riding a motorcycle and a pair of normal earphones to fit under the helmet. If you are doing the pillion course you will need to bring a passenger (with correct clothing).
